Hot Tracks Program 4
The rebirth of disco was brought about by Hot Tracks in the early 80's - they were our savior. These programs are still sought after even now. Great tracks and fantastic mixes. I will be loading more of them as I get them scanned.

Disconet Program Vol. 4, Program 10
This issue contained a production by Boris Midney (USA European Connection, Beautiful Bend, Caress, Masquerade, Double Discovery, Festival, etc.) by Nannette Garcia - it was a project that had an early 80's synth-pop feel. More jazz elements. During the early 80's disco was morphing into a new sound to survive - Midney has no choice but to develop his own. This project was very similar to his "Empire Strikes Back" production. - I will be posting this track soon.
NOTE: PAGE ONE - VERY RARE BORIS MIDNEY PRODUCTION!
There are hundreds of these programs that I just dug up from old boxes of collectables so I will scan them 1 at a time and get them up so that you may see what was happening with music - I will have to research dates and post them. Unfortunetely thy are not listed on the programs.

Steve Schani - Azure
It was always great to promote the underdog when they were smoking: "For You And Only You' by Azure was a high energy track on Megatone that reached #2 on DMR Charts and by sending out 12 Inch promos to pools - for anyone dreaming of charting with a project, it can happen!
Azure released "Can't Steal My Love" in 1989 followed by "For You And Only You" in 1991 and then "Your Selfish Love" in 1992 - Vocals were fabulous! They were performed by Jennifer Matthews, who sang in a church choir but as Steve told me, would fly down a afew days to record these disco tracks - INCREDIBLE!
This cut and his others are posted at: http://glennrivera.multiply.com/music/item/655
"Night Rider" Promo
Promotion letter from Craig Kostich and Ray Caviano in the disco promotions office included with promo of Venus Dodson's "Night Rider" from my pool in Los Angeles - at the time note that Rosebud's "Have A Cigar" and Candi Staton's "When You Wake Up Tomorrow" were breaking out. Also news of Boris Midney's Caress was noted to be coming soon - this was big news at the pool meetings!

Here is an interesting area for High Energy and Disco lovers - the IMPORT reviews!!! They were always accurate and fed your curiousity, as well as thinned your wallet out! :) Enjoy.

"Suffer" by Grace Jones - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
"Christina Talks Back!"
A parody of the Grace Jones underground disco track, "Suffer" mixed with Faye Dunaway from "Mommie Dearest" - after hearing those leather whip snaps, I could not resist a parody of the song and the movie together.

"Primitive Love" by Ellie Warren - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
"Primitive Love" was released on Jet Records from England in 1982. It was the start for disco singer Ellie Warren. The cut did not do so well in your standard club, but was the perfect early morning sleaze cut for hardcore dance halls. This video rendition features clips from the Raquel Welch 60's action film, "One Million Years B.C." - it outlines how any girl in a 2-piece fur ensemble survives for love.
Edited by Glenn Rivera and produced by Ken Emmons for designlogic.org
