"Secret Agent Man" by Ultimate - ReStructure Mix and Video Edit by Glenn Rivera

Ultimate released their second LP featuring the track “Secret Agent Man” (a remake of the Johnny Rivers song from 1964) – this track went un-noticed by many dance floors since the track was only 3 minutes long. I have taken the number and extended it for a mild ReStructure and for eye candy edited scenes from 1966 action film, “The Silencers” with Dean Martin.

The song comes alive with Dean Martin, Cyd Charisse and Stella Stevens guiding the action from disco to super-spy video.

"Underwater" by Harry Thumann - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

At the peak of the disco era many artists were focusing their energy on the technological aspects of dance music. Some of the more refined projects were a combination of techno-keyboards and sequencers along with strings and manual instrumentation. Harry Thumann's "Underwater" released in 1979 was apart of this sound.

My first experience at hearing "Underwater" brought to mind Meco's production of "Star Wars" in 1977, but with a touch more of keyboard and sequencer technology. This video is a combination of images from "Star Wars" and Thumann's classic track.

"Hell On Wheels" by Cher - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Raquel Welch was "Kansas City Bomber" in 1972 - Cher was "Hell On Wheels" in 1979, who would of thought that pairing these ladies would be so explosive!

This video mix takes scenes from Raquel's short lived roller derby stint and makes it a dance ententre.

This is an event that had a wonderful time spinning for on Sunday, December 2, 2007 - Richard Joseph Salon is a local salon and is celebrating it's 20th Year of being apart of San Diego history.

A fabulous fashion show was apart of the festivities - thanks to Dmarkis and Shannon for making it easy for me to keep the music close to the wonderful models on the runway.

"Revenge" by Revanche - Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

A strange mix of visuals from Stephen King's gothic horror novel and Brian DePalma's horror-classic, "Carrie" - mixed with Jacques Fred Petrus' production of Revanche's "Revenge"!

This is indeed a different take on the high energy sound of this dance floor gem. It is perfect "prom" music, as you will see.

"Carrie" was released in 1976 by United Artists. Rent the DVD.

20th Year Celebration   I had the honor of working with Richard Joseph and his wonderful staff on their 20 Year Celebration which was held in the back of their business in a huge outdoor tent. Spinning music for this event was a great time for me.   The event was Sunday, December 2, 2007 It featured a fantastic fashion runway show with some great music!
