At the peak of the disco era many artists were focusing their energy on the technological aspects of dance music. Some of the more refined projects were a combination of techno-keyboards and sequencers along with strings and manual instrumentation. Harry Thumann's "Underwater" released in 1979 was apart of this sound.
My first experience at hearing "Underwater" brought to mind Meco's production of "Star Wars" in 1977, but with a touch more of keyboard and sequencer technology. This video is a combination of images from "Star Wars" and Thumann's classic track.

Two classics from the late 70's are interpolated in a tribute to combine some of the finest c.g.i sequences from S.W. IV together with 'Underwater', an amazing disco track that was big with Baldelli then with everyone in the USA after it was licensed by Decca; together with 'Fear' (another Glen Rivera video mix from 2007) these two dance classics kicked off the now legendary 1980 Disconet Medley which 'chilled' us on the dance floor over 27 'chem-free' years ago by taking the bpm from 132 to 112 in 19 mins ! (aaah those WERE the days ! ) ~ Thanks Glenn (for bringin' back the good times)
