Irvin Kershner’s suspense film, “Eye’s Of Laura Mars” hit theatres in 1978 – it was a very nice combination of mystery, suspense, drama and some great disco music. The soundtrack featured Michael Zager Band’s “Let’s All Chant”, Odyssey’s “Native New Yorker” and KC and The Sunshine Band’s “Shake Your Booty.”
Visions of the film are expressed in this Video Mix with a completely new edge. Boys Town Gang’s disco classic, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” from 1981project produced by Bill Motley and sung by Jackson Moore. This music was geared to bring back a high-energy disco sound, which was lacking on major labels following the disco fade of the early 80’s. This is a simple, yet effective result.
The bizarre theme of “Laura Mars” is put more delicately to Boys Town Gang’s dance floor track with a bit more of Faye Dunaway’s magic presence. It may seem a bit odd but if you think carefully about the story for those who have seen it and understand the meaning, know that it is along the same parallel.
