The track by Lama, "Love Is On The Rocks" released 1983 on Carerre and Numero Uno Records is an disco underground classic.
It has always been a mystery who the producers were since it notes on the label that it is produced by Katmandu Productions. It is most likely Celso Valli since it is his style and Giancarlo Meo is noted as writer to the flip side, "Nineteen Ninety Three".
A viewer from YouTube was kind enough to share with me that the song was originally recorded in 1976 by Lucio Battisti and was titled "Il Veliero" - it is a great recording.
The lyrics are listed form the Italian lyrics posted on YouTube and translated by Babel Fish:
The veliero goes and you door via, up sea and already you are less mine. Inevitable at this point, but as I make to imagine that you will be of an other man! The veliero goes and me door via, spumeggiando it goes, it is right and or. But I wonder as it can my destiny to make so that I will be of un' other woman! The veliero goes, all how many on, prow to the sea goes does not return more! The loss gains always he, mother fear like always not lasci never the sons yours!
