"Strike It Up" by Black Box - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Italo-house hit the dance floors in 1989 with Black Box. Their first release "Ride On Time" was executed by taking vocal samples from Loleatta Holloway's 1979 disco hit "Love Sensation" and creating a whole new track with a momentum that opened doors for house music.

The LP "Dreamland" was released in 1990 with the single "Strike It Up" heading the package again onto the dance floor. With vocals by Martha Wash (Two Tons 'O Fun, Weather Girls) this session was over any expectations the dance industry had felt in a while.

An idea introduced to me by Ken Emmons was to take the 1962 musical "The Music Man" starring Robert Preston and Shirley Jones and create a Disco Video Mix is displayed here.

The film was directed by Morton DaCosta

  4. I found the same problem on loading they go out of time.. Almost like the sound loads quicker than the video.

  5. I do not know if it is deliberate or it is their compression software end - all of my files comply with their specifications. I believe, the longer the video, the longer the delay.

Thanks, Les - the videos, believe it or not take me 1 hour or 2 - I do this work from home with my clients videos all day. But, I prefer doing these with the dance music :)
