Italian disco and drag act Billy More video "Up and Down" - Billy recently passed in 2005 - this is an homage to his talent and life.
From "Discotheque" website:
BIT RECORDS is sad to announce the death of Billy More (aka Massimo Maglione), after a struggle with leukaemia. After a long experience at writing for children television, her career as a vocalist started as a laugh and her hits
leave us with the picture of a reassuring and nice drag queen: Billy More has left us quietly on 14th August 2005.
Billy More allured the European dance charts: she was so popular and she had so many engagements all over the Europe that she had to entrust her dear pigs, Castore and Polluce, to a friend of her that lives in the country.
"Things are better like that," said Billy "now they can run about through the farmyard...when they lived in my house, they always ate my lip-sticks!"
It was 1999 when the DJ producer Roberto Santini saw the performance
of a sophisticated Drag Queen in a famous club in Milan.
Soon, the life of Billy More changed: Up & Down (Don’t Fall In Love With Me)
sold 25,000 copies in Italy! The single was the released in many other European countries and in Canada.
Hundreds of shows in Italian discotheques followed and several appearances
on Italian television shows, and the definitive consecration with the video clip
"Refined Laundry Girl" and the memorable performance at Festival Bar,
with more than 30,000 people that proclaimed "Up and Down" hit of the summer.
The track was top ten in the most important European charts
and was included in an MC Mario compilation in Canada.
