CityFest 2011







Each year the HBA puts on a fantastic celebration of community and spirit in the neighborhood of Hillcrest. This year celebrates the 27th annual street fair, CityFest! CityFest has been in expansion each year since it’s inception and this year is certainly no exception! The HBA has been hard at work with it’s Special Events Committee planning new and exciting additions, including promotional pre-parities, a water slide, more games and rides, a flash mob, and a special unveiling of the historic Hillcrest sign.

The neighborhood has been awaiting the relighting of the sign for months now, and on August 14th the sign will be re-lit!

    Her name is Laura Jane - she is a hoot! A singer, and a good one. When you get here we will take you to her show - she sounds like Cher at times! :)

    There is a well-known saying here: "Another shitty day in paradise!" As it is always sunny and nice - we are spoiled here in San Diego. It was the perfect weekend...again! :)
