  1. Fantastic news! We're itching to hear this. Loved their album, especially Breakaway and the slower Don't Let Your Chance Go Bye. I wonder what ever became of this talented duo? N&L:)

  2. Alfred Beasley is still around - he email ed me last year regarding a project he worked on. He is on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/user/alfredbeasley1

He is a nice man :)

I cannot wait to work on this one either - I am going to use the album version vs. the 12" (which has been remixed already).

I also loved the album - in addition to "Breakway" - I also played "Don't Let Your Chance Go By", "Darlin' I" and "Body Free" - which was a BIG dance floor packer when it came out!

Good energy to you boys :)

  3. Hi Glenn, thanks for the info re Mr Beasley! Good to know...wonder if he is still in touch with Gina Watson? I have the album on CD through Unisdisc in Canada, it has a few extended and radio mixes added on. Always wondered why they spelt the word 'By' as 'Bye' in 'Don't Let Your Chance Go Bye' - curious! The other tracks you mention above are all great too - a very solid album overall. Nick:)

  4. The production was excellent thanks to Mr. Peter Alves - who also gave us Toulouse, Which Queen ("Bang A Gong"), Gotham Flasher, Soiree and LaFleur

  5. I was just looking at his name on the CD - it didn't ring a bell at first - I certainly remember Bang A Gong though. I had always thought Alfred Beasley himself produced the album. Reading the notes though, I see he and Gina were assistant producers as well as co-writers, arrangers, and also played a lot of the instruments. Talented people!
