I love this song - it was my peak hour song the summer it came out at The Probe in Los Angeles! Jayne was a sweet lady - a friend of hers, Greg Stone (who also recorded a 12" single) introduced me to her. After the 80s she just disappeared! Literally. No one has heard from her - not even her produced, Rick Gianatos. :(
I will have fun with this remix though - I know it! Thanks, Nick and Lindsay - my best to you!
Glenn, thanks for the info - how interesting! There were a few other 80s divas who made a splash and vanished from sight - Terri Wells, Millie Scott, Val Young and Rainy Davis all come to mind. They all had some great singles and an album or two (although I don't remember Jayne Edwards having an album come to think of it) - then...nothing! Odd isn't it? Hopefully they are all happy and well somewhere...we can still enjoy their respective musical legacies. Terri Wells is still on my playlist - just got the cd which has all the 12" versions and instrumentals. A great album...my personal favourite was a catchy track called I Already Know. For some reason it was only released as a single in Europe - not the US:( However, I'll Be Around, You Make It Heaven and I'm Giving All My Love were all good single choices. Hope you and Ken have a good Easter - are you taking some time off? N&L:)
Looking forward to hearing this - we both have great memories of this fantastic track by Ms Edwards! Nick & Lindsay:)
