**SPECIAL GUEST: LESTER TEMPLE (Returns to the DJ Booth after 15 years!) http://www.facebook.com/lester.temple.5 Lester says "I started my career as a radio disc jockey at age 14 in Oroville, CA. From there, went to a couple of Chico radio stations, and then to Sacramento radio stations. In 1974, while in Sacramento, I caught disco fever and became the resident DJ at The Hawaiian Hut. In 1976, I moved to San Francisco and became, with John Hedges, one the residents at Oil Can Harry’s. The owners of Oil Can Harry’s opened up a beautiful club right up the street called The Music Hall. I was the resident DJ there. During this time, I did guest spots at Trocadero Transfer and Dreamland, and was a regular at The I-Beam, The End Up, Buzzby’s, The Badlands, The Phoenix, The Stud, and others. I also helped to run Hot Tracks DJ remix service, and became very involved in commercial remixing and music production. I took a break from San Francisco, moved to the Russian River in 1984 and became the resident DJ at The Woods. I went back into radio in 1987 in Santa Rosa, and moved back to San Francisco when Live 105 radio offered me a job. I’ve been here at Live 105 for the past 20 years. I’m very proud of my Billboard Magazine Best San Francisco Disco DJ Award given to me in 1980."
**Special Guest: GLENN RIVERA (Shades of Seventies) (Returns for BANG! #4!): http://www.shadesofseventies.com/restructure.html + http://shadesofseventies.blogspot.com/ + http://glennrivera.multiply.com/ Glenn says "Many look at the 70s disco era by reflecting on the music. Although the music was a big part of the period do not forget to reflect on the dancers themselves. They created the scene – the moves – the groove – the 70s, as we know it. As a lover of disco music and my DJ experience of over 30 years I have seen this proof. Parties like Go BANG! Give the space and energy to recreate this mood. Don’t be left without this “got-to-be-real” experience. It is still alive. The music is still my passion and I use it in a way to create a whole new experience. Be there! It is Go BANG!"
