Camp Horror of The 70's: "The Devil Within Her" (1975) - Part 8

"The Devil Within Her" (1975) - Part 8

This combination of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Exorcist" was an example of how far that evil box office would go to make us scared of our own shadow - or even sit through another film about demons and devils. Quite funny actually - it is like living in Quaker times and believing the moon was a spirit.

It is all in good fun though.

Dedicated to Manifested Glory Ministries (Connecticut) who believe you can exorcise gay and lesbian to rid them, of homosexuality - good luck guys - is this what you are looking for?

Starrring Joan Collins (Dynasty), Donald Pleasence (Halloween), Eileen Atkins and Ralph Bates

Directed by Peter Sasdy
Produced by Nato De Angeles
Rated R

NOTE: This film contains nudity and graphic violence - please use caution on viewing audience

  4. You are so welcome. I saw it at a drive in with my parents back in 1975 - it was a but embarrassing during the love-making scenes (I remember that). After seeing "The Exorcist" I wanted to see all movies about possession because it was what was going on at the time. And being a filmmaker as a kid, it was fun to see the next copy-cat.

This was pretty bad - but fun to watch Joan. And the night club scene is classic - in the flashback. I love it! And the baby scenes are too much where it actually tears it's room apart - can you imagine. I would have rocked the kid right out the window - knowing something was wrong.

There were so many devil and possession films - do you remember "Mark Of The Devil"? Or "The Devil's Rain"?

  7. "Mark Of The Devil" was not that great - very graphic! I remember closing my eyes allot - it was kind of like "The Conqueror Worm" (or "Witchfinder") with Vincent Price - I know you know that one? :)

"The Devil's Rain" I have - I loved the melting scene at the end when I was a kid. :)
