Gothic Horror: "The Haunting" (1963) - Part 11 (Finale)

"The Haunting" (1963) - Part 11 (Finale)

One of the scariest films I can remember seeing as a child on television horror matinee. They don't make em like this anymore - a great psychological thriller. Turn on all the lights!

Starring Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Richard Johnson and Russ Tamblyn

Directed by Robert Wise

  2. Yes. Horror movies were much better back in time. Much more psychological and haunting. Not so gory and gross. Also, the film environment (black and white) was eerie too!

Wasn't the scenes with the ghost holding her hand weird? I love that scene - the sounds are scary and haunting. I used to have a hard time falling asleep after this film.

    Thanks, Loulou :)

  3. By the way, do you remember Richard Johnson in "Beyond The Door"? It is great that he did another horror film with his scary voice! :)
