"Frogs" (1972) - Part 1"
If global warming doesn't get us, then nature will do it another way. Just having fun with this horror film by American International from 1972. It was quite a shocker for the time. And it also had a young Sam Elliott - that alone is worth watching!
Squeamish with snakes and bugs? Be careful!
Jason Crockett is an aging, grumpy, physically disabled millionaire who invites his family to his island estate for his birthday celebration. Pickett Smith is a free-lance photographer who is doing a pollution layout for an ecology magazine. Jason Crockett hates nature, poisoning anything that crawls on his property. On the night of his birthday the frogs and other members of nature begin to pay Crockett back.
Starring Ray Milland, Sam Elliot, Joan Van Ark, Adam Roarke, Judy Pace, Lynn Borden, Mae Mercer, David Gilliam and Nicholas Cortland

ReplyDeletePerhaps it could be conceived this way :)
ReplyDeleteI just love 70's horror movies - who knows, maybe Halloween will be musicals this year! Doing it different it great for me - I do not go for tradition...
Take care, my friend :)
I love 30's to 70's horror and bad Italian SF from the 60's. Do you remember "The Thing With Two Heads" (1972) starring Ray Milland and Rosey Grier? The concept alone was worth the price of admission. ; )
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I have it! Will have to post it! I saw these as a kid at drive in's! What a trip to have survived these. Do you remember "Arnold" with Stella Stevens and ""Chidren Shouldn't Play With Dead Things"
ReplyDeleteI remember both of those flicks. Every Saturday we would go to the movies and see a double feature with all this stuff. "Mutations" (1974) with Donald Pleasance, "Abby" (1974) blaxploitation version of "The Exorcist", 'The Legend of Boggy Creek" (1975), "Mark of the Devil" (1971.....barf bags included)....the list is endless! :)
