Marie Osmond's poor gay son killed himself
because he had been told how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it. Calling that "depression" is a lie!
Yet the Osmond's still talk lovingly about their church, saying nothing about its extremely anti-gay Crusade. Marie also has a gay daughter! Hey, I want her and all the gay kids in the world to know that they are just fine being gay and that they deserve love and respect instead of insults and rebuke! I have gay people in my family and my circle of friends and I am kicking bigot ass and taking names!
That is how its done in my religion---(I have my own religion that I made up for myself and it is a great religion that actually works and respects facts and not fantasy!)
Gerald Lund one of the ex church apostles has three gay kids himself.
Yet, even though the people they say they love the most in all of their public displays and speeches (THEIR KIDS AND FAMILY!!) are gay,-- their own children, for crying out loud- these people cannot find the christian decency and compassion within themselves to stop their hypocritical gay bashing!!
How sickening. I know so many mormon kids who were gay and committed suicide, and I just cannot and will not stay quiet in order to not offend bigots anymore. It is all so terribly depressing.
Marie please don't talk about how your faith in your church has helped you get through this one! Please get some integrity and tell that church of yours that you will leave it and stop giving it ten percent of your money if they don't stop trying to destroy your kids' and all gay people's civil rights and dreams and hopes!!
G-d is trying to use you for something good and this is your opportunity! Your church is wrong and on the wrong wrong wrong side of things! Get as vocal about that as you are about your diet. G-d bless you too, Marie.
Take a hard look at the facts now as you use this very sad time for introspection, healing growth and prayer, and become a strong symbol for loving mothers who make no apologies for hatred against their own kids!
I fully agree with you.
ReplyDeleteLots of churches have damaged the integrity of gay persons. I hope that one Day they will come to their common sense.
In the mean while I hope that the gay will choose for themselves and for the validation of Love by good people. And not by moralists or misjudging "Christians"
I never knew that? wow
ReplyDeleteThat whole family is crazy.
I think religion in general is just down right disgusting.
ReplyDeleteIf you think about it - all wars and fights on Planet Earth are in the name of some God or Religion.
The people who flew the planes in to buildings on 911 did that in the name of "God".
The Middle East fights every day in the name of some Religion.
People hate the "Jewish" religion. Jehovahs Whiteness claim they have the truth.
The Pope blesses the bombs in the USA in WW1 & 2 and we go kill people of the same faith across the globe. Is "God" only blessing the USA and no other Country?
Just like so many people believe (here in the USA) that we all follow God and the rest of the World is in the dark. The flip side exists if we were born in IRAQ - we would believe the USA is the Devil.
Notice no one can tell each side we are right and you are wrong. Its like mass confusion on Planet Earth as everyone "claims" to be in the right Religion severing the "true" God.
In my humble opinion, call me stupid but if the "All Mighty All Powerful God - Creator of Everything" just cant get right something as simple as "serving him" and not having mass confusion in the World - What does that tell us? Something isn't right.
Religions are all run and designed by man. I have yet to see ANY religion produce anything positive in the World. How can ANY religion claim to be from "God" when they all cause terrible and disgusting things since humans recorded history.
Not only the example you gave above Glenn but think about all the Priests/Elders that molest kids?
Think about all the Wars that start in the name of "God". Look how many THOUSANDS of religions that claim they have the "truth". Looking outside the box I can certainly say "None of that looks like it comes from God. If anything, thats the most evil thing I have ever seen in my life. To think how many people actually believe they have the truth yet destroy thier own Families in the process".
That is something that really bothers me. If there REALLY is an "All Mighty Powerful God" up above then he/she must have some sick sense of humor. To allow people to do things "in Gods Name" and just sit back and watch is disgusting. If God is THAT powerful then at least - at the very FUCKING least have ONE damn Religion that is the truth.
God supposedly made us NOT like Robots but to think, act, and live out our own lives. Yet every Religion that is out there does the opposite in "controlling" our lives. Sounds like the opposite right?
I think Religion is for the weak. Having the need to just "belong" to something. The above example, is heart breaking as too many people put "faith" in front of their own Flesh & Blood.
Putting "faith" in Religion is fruitless. In the end we end up with NOTHING.
Take Religion out of our lives and we gain EVERYTHING.

ReplyDeleteAT LAST SOME PEOPLE ARE SEEING THE TRUTH FOR THEMSELVES...
http://godisimaginary.com/
ONCE YOU SEE THE TRUTH...YOU CAN BE FREE TO LIVE LIFE WITHOUT ALL THESE MANMADE GUILTY PROBLEMS...
AMEN!
Johnnie - You have said everything I always believed. I am a good person - do no wrong to people. That is just my human instinct. If someone thinks differently or does bad things to others - they are a bad person in general - it happen in humanity.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Johnnie - I am glad you have said what you feel - I feel the exact same way.
Good energy to you.
Glenn :)
This is a poem that really makes you think about how we judge and condemn people for being different. It tries to make you understand what it is like from the other side.
ReplyDeleteHow alone you would feel, if excluded you were.
Does it make any sense?
Can you imagine the isolated soul
with no-one in sight to hear
the cries and the tears that your heart would shed,
and the constant, looming fear?
Can you see in your mind the life of a man
without anywhere to belong?
Because a society judged him unworthy,
because they think they’re right, and he’s wrong.
Try and imagine the pain that you’d feel,
with sneers and hateful words, and spit at your heels.
What would it be like if the gates were locked;
you couldn’t get in, and you couldn’t get out?
Imagine the feeling that you’re worthless,
some dirt that’s been stepped on by someone’s uncaring shoe.
Perhaps at that point it’s too much for your heart,
and you take your own life, to stop it hurting you.
Imagine this world, for maybe a minute,
after that you can stop; you don’t like it, sure
but there are people who go through this every day,
and they can’t stop it, unless they’re no more.
So when you hear of hate, bigots and death,
don’t side with haters, cause that’s how you’ve been bred.
Imagine how it is, or was for that guy,
the one that’s hurt, or lying dead.
So imagine the feelings and memories too,
of people oppressed, hated, abused;
Of people who lived outside of that fence
and what they came to – does it make sense?
Thanks Glenn
I had a deep feeling that is why he killed himself. The family are mormons and I think he was hiding his sexuality for years. Especially when Marie finally got to the point of divorcing his father. Damn, she was fashion student that would have been so talented. I wonder how Marie is handling this. I do like her, I just hope they can get through this.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way Glenn. I'm not religious. That is why I practice what I practice. Religion is what kills people.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to look at yourself - by way of thinking about other people(s) feelings. I feel though that respect is always deserved - not just given. If you are middle aged and not aware of these feelings - you must have missed something.
ReplyDeleteThis poem is wonderful, thank you for sharing it, Loulou ;)
Your welcome Glenn and your right when you say respect is always deserved and not just given, but its also time that people also respect other people even when their different from them.
ReplyDeleteIts a big world with place for everyone, whatever your believes are, colour,or nature.
Life can be so good, let it be good for everyone.
And with religion i have nothing,i believe in myself and the people that i love.
And guys i love you,Loulou
I love that site!
ReplyDelete"If you would like to understand how imaginary God is, all that you have to do is listen to God's spokespeople, because in many cases these people are lunatics. If there actually were a God, and if he actually had anything to do with love, he would silence these people because they are an absolute embarrassment."
I always said if you think God have spoken to you - you need to see a doctor :)
ReplyDeleteIf God were real, he would speak for himself. The fact that God does not speak, and that he allows any lunatic who comes along to speak "in his name," shows us that God is quite imaginary.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that he were all-knowing and creator of the Universe, why did he not see his supposed own son being crucified - and why would he allow it? A lightening bolt on those Romans would have fixed the whole episode and convinced us all he was there are powerful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I believe it is wise to question everything in life. Otherwise we would not be communicating via Internet right now.
it's awful
